Cancore secures $7.2M to link Canton with public chains
  • Cancore secures $7.2 million to scale its infrastructure for tokenized asset trading.

  • The platform shares that it has achieved $53.2 million in volume across upwards of 84,000 trades.

  • The new capital will back cross-chain settlement, AI trading agents, and broader liquidity access.

Cancore—a platform operating on the Canton Network that links tokenized assets with public blockchain liquidity—has successfully closed a $7.2 million seed funding round. Backers include Paper Ventures, dao5, ArkStream Capital, X Ventures, MH Ventures, and Proof of Talk.

Having launched on the Canton mainnet back in April 2026, the platform currently functions as both a validator and a Featured App.

Data provided by Cancore shows that as of October 1, the protocol handled a cumulative trading volume exceeding $53.2 million across more than 84,000 separate trades, resulting in protocol revenues of over $538,000.

The project is actively building infrastructure meant to tie Canton-native assets—such as tokenized real-world assets (RWAs)—directly to public blockchain liquidity pools.

The team brands this framework as a “Liquidity OS for Tokenized Finance,” designed to facilitate the execution and trade of tokenized financial instruments across various blockchain ecosystems.

“Canton has built strong institutional foundations, and the next step is opening it to broader market liquidity,” noted ArkStream General Partner Ye Su.

“Cancore is taking a practical approach, with live volume and revenue from day one. We’re pleased to back a team focused on real usage over hype.”

To conduct transactions between Canton and compatible public networks, Cancore implements atomic settlement.

According to the firm, these transactions are engineered to either finish completely or fail entirely without leaving partial executions behind.

Users maintain full authority over their private keys via Cancore’s self-custody wallet, ensuring that swaps either settle properly across both networks or receive a full refund.

Furthermore, the system incorporates automated execution capabilities through a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server, permitting users to automate platform actions and hand tasks over to AI systems.

Looking ahead, Cancore intends to broaden these features so that users can construct and launch custom trading agents to carry out strategies, rebalance portfolios, deploy capital, and engage with liquidity.

In tandem with its focus on agentic trading tools, Cancore aims to bring additional real-world assets (RWAs) and increased liquidity onto the Canton network.

“Tokenization is bringing a growing range of financial assets onchain, but making those assets programmable is the next step,” explained Wasif Rashid, co-founder and CEO of Cancore.

“We see a future where users can deploy capital across tokenized assets and use agents to execute strategies and manage positions on their behalf.”

Ultimately, the objective is to let trading agents interact seamlessly with Canton-native assets, tokenized real-world assets, and public-chain liquidity via a unified execution layer.

Cancore will direct the $7.2 million seed investment toward expanding into fresh blockchain networks and liquidity outlets while pushing forward the development of its settlement, security, and agentic trading infrastructure.

“In traditional markets, much of the value sits with the infrastructure that moves capital between venues: clearing, settlement, prime brokerage,” remarked Danish Chaudhry, General Partner at Paper Ventures.

“Tokenized markets will need the same layer, and between Canton and public chains it barely exists today. Cancore is building it to the security standard institutions expect, and we think this team is well placed to define how tokenized capital moves across networks.”

This growth will expand upon Cancore’s current connectivity spanning Canton, Tron, and Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM)-compatible networks.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much funding did Cancore raise?

Cancore raised $7.2 million in a seed funding round backed by Paper Ventures, dao5, ArkStream Capital, X Ventures, MH Ventures, and Proof of Talk.

What is Cancore’s main purpose?

Cancore is building infrastructure—referred to as a “Liquidity OS for Tokenized Finance”—to connect Canton-native assets and tokenized real-world assets (RWAs) with public blockchain liquidity.

What financial metrics has the platform achieved so far?

As of October 1, Cancore reported processing over $53.2 million in cumulative trading volume across more than 84,000 trades, generating over $538,000 in protocol revenue since going live on the Canton mainnet in April 2026.

How does Cancore handle transaction security and settlement?

The platform uses atomic settlement to guarantee that transactions either complete fully across networks or fail completely without partial execution. Additionally, users keep control of their private keys through a self-custody wallet.
